Presentation Title: Alaska Railroad Expansions
Presented By: Brian Lindamood, P.E.

Brian gave a well informed presentation on the many different projects and types the Alaska Railroad have coming down the line.  Some of these projects include; the Northern Rail Extension (80-miles from North Pole to Port MacKenzie) and the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension.  Other items discussed was the usage of the railroad in Alaska (military, transportation, flood prevention), and timelines on funding and permits.

Brian also mentioned that the Bridge at Salcha will be the largest in Alaska to be worked on, the funding sources, project history, design concerns, permits, and erosion/flood hazards.

Thank you Brian for giving us the track of ongoing rail projects.
