Engineers Needed to be Interviewed by Students

Hello everyone

Dimond High School has been working over the past several years to put together an Engineering Academy to cultivate interest in the engineering professions in high school (and younger) students.  As part of that, they are asking for engineers who have an interest in volunteering some time to be interviewed by students writing a research paper for their Principles of Engineering class.  If you are interested, please see the attached document and e-mail Jennifer with the information requested.  If you know of anyone else who may be interested, please pass this along as well.

The strides that Dimond High has been taking to garner interest and provide an environment that allows students to obtain hands on experience with engineering is noteworthy and commendable.  I have been a participant in their program for the past couple of years and am impressed by their efforts as well as the creativity and excitements these students bring.  These are the future engineers we may hire.  If you are interested in learning more about the program, please contact Cheryl Guyett, Principal of Dimond High at 742-7021.

Thank you,

Calex Gonzalez, PE
