The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a professional society of more than 15,000 transportation engineers, planners and other professionals in some 80 countries. The Institute facilitates the application of technology and scientific principles to research, planning, functional design, implementation, operation, policy development and management for all modes of transportation.

Jessica gave a well informed presentation on the statewide aviation policies and procedures in Alaska.She covered many facts and planning processes.Some of these included the, STIP, APEB, database inventory, system forecast, goals, objectives, performance measures, and classifications.She went on to discuss the economic impact on aviation and the bypass mail service that is provided throughout the state.Last, she discussed what we can expect in terms of reduced funding, programs, and standards.
